Cagayan De Oro is slowly making a claim on whitewater rafting – a recreational activity that utilizes a raft to navigate a river or other bodies of water. Usually, this activity is done on whitewater or different degrees of rough water to provide thrill and excitement to the raft passengers. Whitewater rafting has become popular since the mid-70s.
Cagayan de Oro City’s claim as a premiere whitewater rafting destination isn’t without any valid grounds. Cagayan de Oro is home to some of the most scenic and exhilarating whitewater rafting and thus earned the title – the “adventure capital” in the Philippines.
Cagayan de Oro or CDO to the locals, is the gateway to northern Mindanao and is accessible by a direct flight from Manila to Cagayan de Oro airport. There are numerous providers or operators of whitewater rafting in CDO.
